Before Tattoo

What should I do before my tattoo appointment?

Before your tattoo appointment, there are a few things you can do to ensure everything goes smoothly and you have the best experience possible.

Here are some helpful suggestions:

Hydrate and get a Good Night’s Sleep: A well-rested and hydrated body will make the tattooing process more comfortable. Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of your appointment, and try to get a good night’s sleep to ensure you’re feeling your best.

Avoid Alcohol, Drugs and Blood Thinners: It’s important to avoid consuming alcohol or more than one coffee or taking blood-thinning medications before your appointment. These can increase bleeding during the tattooing process and affect the final outcome.

Eat a Nourishing Meal: Tattooing can sometimes be a lengthy process, so it’s a good idea to eat a healthy meal before your appointment. This will provide you with sustained energy and help prevent lightheadedness or discomfort during the session.

Dress Comfortably: Wear loose and comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area you’re getting tattooed. This will make it easier for the artist to work and ensure you’re as comfortable as possible throughout the process. ( preferably black colour)

Pamper your skin one week before your appointment by applying a nourishing body lotion to the area where you’ll be getting your tattoo. This will help keep your skin hydrated and promote a smoother healing process. Moisturising regularly can make your skin feel extra soft and supple, ensuring that your tattoo looks its very best once it’s done.

⁃ Remember to pack some delicious snacks, refreshing drinks, and cosy warm clothes for your full-day session! Having these essentials with you will enhance your overall experience and ensure that you’re comfortable throughout the day. Treat yourself to tasty bites, stay hydrated, and stay cosy in your favourite attire to make the most of your tattoo session.

Communicate Your Needs: If you have any specific needs or concerns (such as allergies, medical conditions, or sensitivities), it’s important to communicate them with your tattoo artist before the session. Noemi will be happy to accommodate your needs and ensure your safety and comfort.

⁃ If you have any skin conditions or serious illnesses, such as diabetes, hepatitis, herpes, AIDS, HIV, blood disorders, epilepsy, or cancer, we kindly request that you provide a doctor’s confirmation stating that tattooing is safe for you. This is to ensure your well-being and the best possible experience during your tattoo session.

Bring Necessary Documents: Depending on your location, you may need to bring identification or any required paperwork for legal reasons. Check beforehand to ensure you have everything you need.

⁃ Inform the tattoo artist if you have any allergies to latex or metal.

⁃ We kindly request that you arrive feeling refreshed and clean for your tattoo appointment. It is important to avoid coming directly after work, as your skin should be free of sweat.

⁃ We kindly advise against taking painkillers, antibiotics, or numbing creams prior to your tattoo session. If any of these substances have been consumed, we may need to reschedule your appointment for another time.

⁃ Consider your health and safety: If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain skin conditions or serious illnesses, it may be necessary to consult with a doctor and provide confirmation that tattooing is safe for you. This is to ensure your well-being and the best possible outcome for your tattoo.

⁃ Allow enough time for your session: It’s important to schedule enough time for your tattoo session. Avoid scheduling immediately after another commitment, as additional time may occasionally be required.

Payment options: We accept cash, card, and TWINT for your convenience. Please note that instalment options are not available for our services.
